At the heart of the westernmost vineyard site on the Roter Hang rises the Schwabsburg castle ruin—also known as the *Schlossturm* (Castle Tower) or *Rabenturm* (Raven Tower). Situated approximately three kilometers from the Rhine, the site’s microclimate is significantly influenced by the river, resulting in a ripening period that is delayed by several days. Conditions for the vines here are noticeably harsher. The interplay of cool nights, hot days, constant winds, and lean soils yields wines that are pure, taut, and defined by great precision.

The Rabenturm parcel holds a special place within our estate. Located right next to the historic tower, it ranks among the oldest vineyards on the Roter Hang. The vines here produce exceptionally small, concentrated grapes that lend the wine its own unique, profound, and distinctive character.
